Nicolas Tourney is a french experimental musician and sound designer, also owner of the label Snow in Water Records. His new album Music for Piano focuses on the acoustic properties of the instrument used in various ways in order to generate rich and subtle resonances. But the artist himself says it more precisely :
“Entirely recorded in the hours of the night, in order to capture very low amplitude sounds that neighboring noises would have made imperceptible, the twelve configurations of Music for Piano reflect research on vibration. The piano used is a late 19th century German grand piano, allowing, when it is wide open, all kinds of placements, preparations, rebounds. Some drones evolved continuously for several days in a row, in order to see the gradual emergence of new timbres produced by the microscopic movements of objects inside the piano. By releasing a resonance rather than a note, the pressure of the keys then opening a void, other modes of play have required tools with a roundabout function and instruments that our daily habits have made their own.”

Meagan Johnson aka Mrs Dink makes electronic music, often techno rooted. She’s a member of the Rootwork Collective and runs the electronic music label Degenerate Trifecta. Her EP Bird Sternum comprises 4 hypnotic tracks of experimental techno loaded with gritty sounds arranged in a subtle and personal way.

Obstacle My Arms is a solo project of Paul Harrison, who has been playing around with sounds since the late 1980s. He has been part of the noise group Smell & Quim and now does various styles using different project names. His main project throughout most of these years has been Expose Your Eyes.
On his new OMA Remix Project he delivers 8 tracks of minimalist hypnotic music, based on reworks of album And here we are. A perfect soundtrack for meditative state of a mind.

Tales from a lonely tree is the 2nd album of Pura Sombar, duo of Kecap Tilil & Kecap Tuyul, who collaborated by file exchange between 2008 and 2013 approximatively. It has firstly been published in April 2010 on CD-R by the now defunct COmmA label.

Nicolas Tourney is a french experimental musician and sound designer, also owner of the label Snow in Water Records. His new album Gloucester consists in 23 experimental compostions based on a precise methodology, gear and sound material.
As the artist says himself “For Gloucester, the device used brings together a 1/8 violin, a viola, a pure data processor and a ring modulator.
It is a work of sound evocations around Charles Olson’s Maximus Poems. I use a projectivist method, freely inspired by the theoretical work of the American poet. In the field of possibilities thus opened, this research allows spatialization in a neutral listening space.
This work was developed during a stay at the Performing Arts Forum, a kind of European Black Mountain College.”
