Miroir Fumant : Invisibles [Eg0_267]

Invisibles is the new album of french duo Miroir Fumant (Ayato and Rome aka Mothapocus), offering us 8 of their hypnotic incantations, a cinematic blues in loop that accompanies words in motion – and sometimes the other way round – like so many small revolutions per minute in the absence of small apocalypses.
Small apocalypses by default… like so many revelations on the nature of the mirror and smoke… on the nature of Rome (mirror-song) and Ayato (smoke-music) and their poetic distortion.

Ayato : Face à Face, Saison 5 [Eg0_266]

Our last release of the year is the fifth season of Ayato ‘s sonic serial about tape experiments : Face à Face Saison 5. This inventive and constantly surprising project is still going on – more to come in 2025!

N.B. 1. The process of these compositions consists of playing in real time two tapes with two different multitrack recorders, which gives 4 stereo sounds side A in normal play and side B in reverse added to others sounds played depending on which way the wind is blowing with the others devices. Some Loops have been created during the mixing process. Cassettes are from private collection, gifts, prepared and found tapes, archives, workshops…

After years of delay due to our chaotic organization, here comes the fourth saison of Ayato ‘s sonic serial about tape experiments : Face à Face Saison 4.

Season 5 should be released before the end of the year 2024 to compensate the 4 years gap between the publishing of seasons 3 & 4.

N.B. 1. The process of these compositions consists of playing in real time two tapes with two different multitrack recorders, which gives 4 stereo sounds side A in normal play and side B in reverse added to others sounds played depending on which way the wind is blowing with the others devices. Clips and Soundboards 2 is a field recordings based album by Ayato , featuring : Linko, Patu, Myra, Nino, Lili Rose, Antoine, Solal, Ali, Julio Lloco, Natalia Zuluaga, Malik Nejmi, Benoit Hixe, Doiré (RIP), Kids, Tabu.

Sounds were recorded between 2009 and 2013 in Orléans, Saran, Olivet, Tours, St Laurent de Ceris, marais poitevin, kote de jade, Eyragues & Firenze, using minidisk & Nagra recorder + dictaphone recordings made between 2001 & 2013.
The album was mixed between 2016 and 2020. It is a sequel of  Clips and Soundboards published by Amp Recs in 2012.

[Eg0_223] TTWOSS : BioBinary / Exp

Our favorite abstract cyberpunk duo Thanato Twist With Oleg’s Sound System is finally back on eg0cide, 6 years after the epic  Now… apocalypse. Their cinematic inspiration has been taken to a new level. They already worked with visual, since their album The Raven included a video (created by Ed End), but their new opus BioBinary/Exp features a movie made by one of their members, Thanatomitsu V.02. We are proud to close the decade with this ambitious release whose achievement has taken almost 10 years (the oldest  sounds featured in this piece used here have been recorded in 2010 or 2011, while the video has been completed in december 2019).

Ayato & Naoki Ishida have been working together by file exchange since the early 2010s. On Momenta they explore a more melodic and accessible style than on their previous releases on eg0cide( Red_control rec​.​played which focused on field recordings and the split album Tapes Outtakes.based on tapes manipulations). This time they ofter 14 instrumental tracks blending elements of post-rock, dub, and ambient, using many different instruments and field recordings. The compositions are smooth and catchy, but never simplistic – they deserve many listenings that will let you discover their depth and subtelties.

[Eg0_196] Ayato & Kecap Tuyul : The shaman won’t come back

The shaman won’t come back is a new file-exchange based collaborative album of Ayato & Kecap Tuyul, It was recorded and mixed in various places between 2015 and 2018. Ayato played guitar with live looping made with a Revox reel to reel tape player, and Kecap Tuyul later overdubbed these hypnotic tracks with various sounds, building dense and trippy soundscapes.

This work can be considered as the 3rd part of a trilogy started with Waiting for the shaman , published 6 years ago. For the moment, the 2nd part of this trilogy exists only in the head of the listener.
