[Eg0_074] Ed End & TTWOSS : The Raven

The Raven is a multimedia collaboration of Ed End (video, featuring Damaris Baker as Lenore) and Thanato Twist With Oleg’s Sound System (music) using Edgar Allan Poe’s famous poem read by Basil Rathbone. This amazing work is as weird as catchy, as hypnotic as unpredictable.

[Eg0_072] Massimo Brazzini : Eskhaton

In Eskhaton, multimedia artist Massimo Brazzini explores what can hide under the surface of “normal” sounds. His experiments result in rather (dark) ambient oriented soundscapes, with some rough edges – and surprises… Massimo has also created the artwork of this album, from one of his own paintings, called “natura morta”

[Eg0_071] Gutterhulk – Path of Ascension (EP)

Path of Ascension is a follow-up to the acclaimed Great Stewardship, an imaginary soundtrack by Gutterhulk.
“Path of Ascension” picks up where “Great Stewardship” left off, this time focusing on soundscapes rather than story-telling. This album is a small collection of enchanting ritual ambient pieces that continue the story told in “Great Stewardship” and which should please all dark ambient and video game enthusiasts, especially those of the Thief franchise.

We don’t know who Gutterhulk is, we have just been told he is a member of the Nakrikal Records team.

Artwork was created by Eddi van W.

[Eg0_066] Eurovision über Alles : The Soundtrack

The use of samples from movies is quite common in industrial / dark ambient – it even become a cliché. Eurovision über Alles (a side project of french one-man project Sobria Ebrietas ) also use samples , many samples, in this soundtrack without a movie – but in a very different way, radical, orginal. A kind of IDN (Intelligent Dramatic Noise) for sick minds?

[Eg0_065] Norss : Alleen

Norss was a dark ambient / drone / noise project active in 2008-2009, who released limited CD-R on various labels, most of them being now out of print. Eg0cide always thought that many of them deserve a second “digital” life.  We agreed with Norss that the album “Alleen” was one of his best works – so we are glad to re-release these utterly dark minimal drones.

re-release notes by Norss :  “Alleen was originally released on CDR in a run of 20 copies. All tracks were recorded in 2008 and represent a powerful moment in the life of Norss.”

Norss later became Ulv (2010-2011) and released the Hypnoottinen  CDR on eg0cide (a few copies are still available from us)

You can hear other old works from Norss & Ulv (as well as new projects) on his recently created netlabel Hypnagogik
