[Eg0_061] CDRX : La fabrique des ombres

CDRX‘ new release is a double album of nocturnal soundscapes full of intringuing, whispering shadows.  The first track is quite densely layered, while the 2nd one is a bit more minimalist – both are mixed in a very subtle way, with a great sense of detail. This is CDRX at his very best, if you don’t know his previous works, this one could be a good introduction.

[Eg0_060] Ayato and Stillborn Blues : Overlapping Horizons

After having remixed Stillborn Ghosts’ “album Over & Out” (Stillborn Dub), Ayato continued to revisit works from the eg0cide staff. This time he completed an unfinished raw mix of Stillborn Blues in a quite surprising way. If someone had told me before that Stillborn Blues’ arythmical, lo-fi, melancolic guitars could be crossed with techno-dub influences, I would have been more than sceptical. Ayato didn’t tell us before – he just did it, in a very personal way, and the result sounds amazingly cohesive despite of its heterogeneous elements.

[Eg0_057] Mescalibur & Kecap Tuyul : Lagrange’ Sessions Volume 2

Last summer, Kecap Tuyul visted Mescalibur for a live meeting after many on-line collaborations. They selected the best parts of their improvisation sessions to publish the second volume of Mescalibur’s “Lagrange’ sessions”, noisier and more agitated than the 1st volume (with tgbts), although also featuring some atmospheric / droney moments. A CD-R version with extended artwork will be available later  from Entropique Production (Mescalibur’s label)

[Eg0_056] Demagolka : Strenuus (remastered)

Demagolka is one of the other projects of the person beyond Sithwomb (who has already 2 releases on eg0cide). Strenuus was self-released some time ago but we thought it deserves more exposure. Furthermore these raw & bleak minimalist soundscapes fit perfectly Eg0cide’s catalogue. For this occasion, it has been remastered by the artist, who defines the style of this album as “hollow drone”

[Eg0_055] anonymous / vide flotté raide

An anonymous collaborator of eg0cide has used unpublished tracks of vide flotté raide (and a few additional sounds (?)) to create a new piece. The original “dirty spoken words vs guitar noise” tracks have been turned into a single 24 min electroacoustic soundscape which kept the disturbed mood of the sound source, but in a more restrained and thoughtful way.

[Eg0_054] Ayato & Kecap Tuyul : when we talk about love and happiness

New collaborative album between Ayato and Kecap Tuyul, when we talk about love and happiness , is rather hard to describe. Guitars (electric or acoustic, melodic or noisy, prepared or not) play an important role in it but are also joined by percussion, vinyls, electronic, etc… All tracks were mixed and mastered by Ayato during 2011, using raw guitar improvisations provided by Kecap Tuyul and a few sounds by other contributors : Anton Mobin, C-lya,  Benoît Hixe, Poney Club, Mystified

[Eg0_052] No-Xygen and Mike Radice : From darkness to renaissance

Note from the label : From darkness to renaissance is an epic soundtrack that needs to be listened as a whole to be fully appreciated. Tracks are quite contrasted (including synthetic melodic ambient, drone, percussive ethno-ambient) but the whole is very cohesive and thoughtfully assembled
