[Eg0_077] Charles premier / Kecap Tuyul / Matthew Tyas : 2 X 2

New album  2 X 2 is simply a collection of 2 live duos featuring Kecap Tuyul on prepared guitar were improvised and recorded in summer 2011 and 2012.

Charles premier is an electroacoustic composer and improviser. He builds his own instruments, and used them in a live context for the first time during this summer 2012 sessions (with the Elektranuss Orkhestra & Kecap Tuyul)

Matthew Tyas is a multimedia artist (composer/songwriter, multi-instrumentist, improviser, film-maker). On this recording he played his main instrument : piano (but prepared this time) and voice.

With special thanks to Philippe Petitpré (Mescalibur) who made these meetings happen.

[Eg0_064] Ayato & Kecap Tuyul : waiting for the shaman

Waiting for the shaman is the latest collaborative album of Ayato & Kecap Tuyul, once more based on guitars sounds, but featurng also bass, flute, synth, tr606, voice, vinyl, and also  some strings sounds provided by Kecap Tilil (Kecap Tuyul’s partner in band Pura Sombar) on 2 tracks.

This new work is as hard to describe as their previous album when we talk about love and happiness , but Waiting for the Shaman one has longer tracks, is more droney – although somewhat rough & gritty sometimes, between dark psychedelia and weird ritual invocations.

[Eg0_057] Mescalibur & Kecap Tuyul : Lagrange’ Sessions Volume 2

Last summer, Kecap Tuyul visted Mescalibur for a live meeting after many on-line collaborations. They selected the best parts of their improvisation sessions to publish the second volume of Mescalibur’s “Lagrange’ sessions”, noisier and more agitated than the 1st volume (with tgbts), although also featuring some atmospheric / droney moments. A CD-R version with extended artwork will be available later  from Entropique Production (Mescalibur’s label)

[Eg0_054] Ayato & Kecap Tuyul : when we talk about love and happiness

New collaborative album between Ayato and Kecap Tuyul, when we talk about love and happiness , is rather hard to describe. Guitars (electric or acoustic, melodic or noisy, prepared or not) play an important role in it but are also joined by percussion, vinyls, electronic, etc… All tracks were mixed and mastered by Ayato during 2011, using raw guitar improvisations provided by Kecap Tuyul and a few sounds by other contributors : Anton Mobin, C-lya,  Benoît Hixe, Poney Club, Mystified

[Eg0_045] CDRX and Kecap Tuyul “fire around the fountain”

You have to be patient when you work with Kecap Tuyul, that’s what CDRX learnt with this new collaborative work. A long watery/nocturnal soundscape was sent to KT back in 2009, and it took him 2 years to complete it with guitar & bass overdubs. A new mail collaboration project has started in spring 2011 between the 2 sound manipulators…

Starting with this release Eg0cide Productions have now a logo, that was carefully designed by AestheseA.  They have to be thanked also for their patience and hard work!Aesthesea is a is a multi-media design project founded in 2009. They focus on:graphic-design, photography, fractal art, sound design,  web-design (html, javascript, flash, css, ajax, php). They also run a fine net label.

[Eg0_043] Crash Duo featuring Kecap Tuyul : Greffes

Kecap Tuyul was invited to play live with the Crash Duo (Anton Mobin  (prepared chamber, tapes)  and Ayato (prepared guitar, tapes)) on september 30, for the Aperaudio show curated by Radio Campus Orléans. This totally  improvised session was recorded and the 3 performers found it interesting enough to get a release (no edits have been made), available in wav, flac, ogg and mp3, with artwork by Anton Mobin

[Eg0_024] Tribe of Astronauts : Displaced Soundscapes

Exactly one year after the release of Amalgamed, the Astronauts are back on eg0cide with a new album, usings sounds from KvB (album “Oncogénèse”), Luciftias (albums “Suspension of Disbelief” and “Soundscapes for headphones”), Mystified (albums “Displaced Assemblage”, “Phantoms” and “Skywtachers”), The Ghost between The Strings (raw unreleased material recorded especially for the Tribe of Astronauts) & Kecap Tuyul (raw unreleased material recorded especially for TOA)
“Displaced Soundscapes” is a strange sonic journey in 3 parts that the Tribe recomends you to play at high volume or with headphones…

[Eg0_022] Pura Sombar – Tongues falling from an opened sky EP

Pura Sombar is a duo of 2 cousins : Kecap Tilil and kecap Tuyul, they have released 2 albums on the french cdr label CommA
Their music is quite hard to describe (ranging from melancholic psych folk, droney free rock, esoteric improvisations).

Tongues falling from an opened sky is their most spacey and droney recording to date. It was made with only stringed instruments (and effects). Its troubled, fragile harmonies (like fallen from broken spheres) will take you in a 21 min drift between stellar melancholy and oceanic peace…

[Eg0_021] Watzatnoiz Vs Kecap Tuyul – Ignid Kod N

It’s been a long time since I asked Watzatnoiz & Kecap Tuyul to record albums for Eg0cide. Last summer they both send me a chaotic batch of raw live tracks (bursts of sapsmodic noise & gritty spacey ambient from Watzatnoiz on VST synth (the Synth1 created by Ichiro Toda), minimalist psychedelic improvisations and lo-fi underwater drones by Kecap Tuyul on prepared guitar (with sometimes ebow and looper)) , and although I enjoyed their sounds a lot, it was difficult for me to consider these submissions as finished albums. So these albums projects were somehow forgotten…
But a few weeks ago, after listening again to these tracks from both guys in a row, I found that a split album could be a cool idea. Or even a mix of these tracks…That’s what finally happened : after many attempts of building a playlist, “Ignid Kod N”  is served as a single track, since I wanted to avoid silences between tracks that have been crossfaded to create a weird odissey into the hasrh side of anarcho-ambient, full of spacey free-noise, drity drones, naive psychedelia and dark buzzes – take it or leave it!
