[Eg0_021] Watzatnoiz Vs Kecap Tuyul – Ignid Kod N

It’s been a long time since I asked Watzatnoiz & Kecap Tuyul to record albums for Eg0cide. Last summer they both send me a chaotic batch of raw live tracks (bursts of sapsmodic noise & gritty spacey ambient from Watzatnoiz on VST synth (the Synth1 created by Ichiro Toda), minimalist psychedelic improvisations and lo-fi underwater drones by Kecap Tuyul on prepared guitar (with sometimes ebow and looper)) , and although I enjoyed their sounds a lot, it was difficult for me to consider these submissions as finished albums. So these albums projects were somehow forgotten…
But a few weeks ago, after listening again to these tracks from both guys in a row, I found that a split album could be a cool idea. Or even a mix of these tracks…That’s what finally happened : after many attempts of building a playlist, “Ignid Kod N”  is served as a single track, since I wanted to avoid silences between tracks that have been crossfaded to create a weird odissey into the hasrh side of anarcho-ambient, full of spacey free-noise, drity drones, naive psychedelia and dark buzzes – take it or leave it!

[Eg0_019] Cédric Lerouley – Manifestation

With this new release Eg0cide productions wish to make you discover the work of Cédric Lerouley, a discreet and underestimated drone/experimental artist from France. The 2 tracks of “Manifestation” show 2 sides of his work :  mysterious, subtle & ominous drone (which reminds me a bit of Jim O’Rourke’s “Disengage”) and delicate acoustic minimalist music…

Like most of his music, this album has firstly been published in 2005 as a (now out of print (??)) limited CD-R on COmmA, Cédric’s own label, and was (like all CommA releases) packaged in a splendid handmade cover.

[Eg0_018] Digital Mass – Shatter Fog

Shatter Fog is the first official release of Digital Mass, a collaborative ambient/experimental act. Their members want to remain anonymous, the only thing to know about them is that the number of people involved in this project is subject to changes depending on the albums.
So let’s focus on their music and enter into their experimental soundscapes, amongst abstract foggy drones, occasional minimal beats, parasited sound transmissions from other planets and/or an antediluvian past…

[Eg0_017] Lusruta – Sailing The Sea Of Nothingness

Despite being Lusruta‘s first official release, Sailing The Sea Of Nothingness is a very mature and achieved recording. This epic droning piece could remind you of Steve Roach’s most minimal works like “darkest before dawn” or “a deeper silence” but it has an undoubtedly personal touch…

eg0_017

…Lay down and close your eyes…The sea of nothingness is loaded with powerful bass resonances and discreetly illuminated by an etheral starlight…You are floating, or flying, or drowning – or maybe simply dreaming?… The abyss is pulsating under you, thick and mysterious…The wide night sky upon you makes you breathe freer and deeper….Your mind becomes thin and extensive like the horizon…

…If after this first trip, you don’t want to go back on the ground, please be aware that “Transparent Obscurity”, Lusruta’s 2nd album is in progress, and shall be released on cd-r by eg0cide in a few months. You can already listen to some samples on his myspace page

[Eg0_016] CDRX – The Dreamscape’s Machinery

Eg0cide Productions are glad to welcome CDRX again, this time with a solo piece : The Dreamscape’s Machinery is another subtle and mysterious soundscape, with a well chosen title and fitting artwork (also created by CDRX himself).
This music is very hard to describe, I discover something new in it at each listening. Not sure it should be tagged as “ambient” (if you care for tags), but I find it very relaxing to play when half sleeping. It reminds me of summer naps when you fall asleep and wake up over and over , and don’t know if what you hear come from a dream, from a buzzing machine in your room, from chaotic uncouscious memories, from insects or noises outside, or a mix of it all…
CDRX has wonderfully caught the machinery of these ambigous states when dreams and reality melt into each other. Now just lay down, close your eyes and try for yourself…

[Eg0_015] Tribe of Astronauts – Amalgamed

After several sonic manifestations on Webbed Hand and Treetrunk, the Tribe of Astronauts landed again on earth and have chosen to deliver their new work on Eg0cide Productions : Amalgamed

It features exclusively sounds from Mystified‘s albums : 22  tracks from Amalgam and one from Cosmic Howling. The original recordings haven’t been altered : the only effects used are light equalization and compression on some tracks, and of course pans and fades, and little edits (just a few “copy and paste” when a particular sequence needed to be extended)

The Astronauts wish you a good trip and would like to thank Thomas of Mystified for his support and inspiring sound experiments.

[Eg0_014] Mister Vapor – Trackless Depths

Trackless Depths is another fine work by Thomas Park, signing this time as Mister Vapor. This gorgeous drone piece made with sounds of unknown (to us) origins is blurry and ethereal in the same time, quiet and minimal but everchanging. Ideal listening while daydreaming, meditating or sleeping.

[Eg0_011] CDRX and TGBTS – The Constancy Of Change

The Constancy Of Change is avalaible for free download. This time it is a collaboration with CDRX, a swiss sound-artist that I’m really glad to welcome in the Eg0cide team.
CDRX has created 2 experimental pieces based on The Ghost Between The Strings’ 2 contributions to the “Constant” serie : Constant 15 and Constant 24, which are both available on Treetrunk

With friendly greetings and special thanks to Mystified, creator of the “constant” concept
