[Eg0_027] Crepusculo – Man dies, only genetics never die

After a first net release on Silent Season, Crepuscolo (a one-person project based in Mongolia) offered his second opus to Eg0cide productions. There is no disappointment with this new album of deep organic ambient blended with cold, surgical, electronics.
“Man dies, only genetics never die” consists of 3 tracks based on enigmatic shifting drones, whose hypnotic qualities are sometimes enhanced by a discreet, muffled – almost subliminal- beat. The overall sound is highly abstract and experimental, without any predictable structure, but with a great sense of dramatic tension. The only minus we could found in this album is its short lenghth : we are waiting for more!

[Eg0_026] Fosel – The Enormous Room

Eg0cide is glad that The Murk has gained attention by experimental/ambient composer Kurt Nimmo aka Fosel : he offered us not only a great remix of this Digital Mass track, but a full album of mysterious, spacious soundscapes. Insomnia is a deeply melancolic dark ambient album by the one-man brazilian project Abismo. These 4 tracks will take you into the slow, hypnotic, sickness of sleepless nights.
The sound is a bit different than on Abismo’s earlier albums : quieter, more droney, sometimes almost peaceful, but always bleak and mysterious, like a ghostly walk across the shore of nothingness. A perfect soundtrack for dark meditations…

[Eg0_025] Digital Mass – Wind Labyrinths

We at Eg0cide Productions have no idea where Digital Mass come from, and even less where they are going/taking us with each new recording, but we are always ready to follow them in their sound experiments. For this new album their anonymous members have recorded atmospheric improvisations on acoustic instruments that were later processed and filtered, but not edited. No synthesizer/looping/sampling was used on these 3 tracks just instinctive playing and empirical sound processing.
For the best listening experience, we suggest you to lay down in the dark with an empty mind and a calm heart, expect nothing, and get lost in these foggy labyrinths like while contemplating smoke curtains.

Exactly one year after the release of Amalgamed, the Astronauts are back on eg0cide with a new album, usings sounds from KvB (album “Oncogénèse”), Luciftias (albums “Suspension of Disbelief” and “Soundscapes for headphones”), Mystified (albums “Displaced Assemblage”, “Phantoms” and “Skywtachers”), The Ghost between The Strings (raw unreleased material recorded especially for the Tribe of Astronauts) & Kecap Tuyul (raw unreleased material recorded especially for TOA)
“Displaced Soundscapes” is a strange sonic journey in 3 parts that the Tribe recomends you to play at high volume or with headphones…

[Eg0_CD10] Mister Vapor & TGBTS – Esoteric Vapor

Esoteric Vapor is a new collaborative work of Thomas Park (signing here as Mister Vapor) with The Ghost Between The Strings. This time Thomas programmed tribal rhythm structures and atmospheric synth sequences, on which TGBTS later added guitars (sometimes prepared, sometimes with ebow). The result is a catchy blend of ethno-ambient, mysterious drones, post-rockish guitar riffs and experimental string abuses, sometimes warm and serene (Knowing The Spaces, Basalt Pillar), sometimes dark and gritty (Searching For Dark Cycles, Universal Wisdom), always hypnotic. Insurrection is a 6 min track of rythmic ethno-ambient, made with only Balalaika and (filtered) acoustic percussions (darbuka and  kayamb).

[Eg0_022] Pura Sombar – Tongues falling from an opened sky EP

Pura Sombar is a duo of 2 cousins : Kecap Tilil and kecap Tuyul, they have released 2 albums on the french cdr label CommA
Their music is quite hard to describe (ranging from melancholic psych folk, droney free rock, esoteric improvisations).

Tongues falling from an opened sky is their most spacey and droney recording to date. It was made with only stringed instruments (and effects). Its troubled, fragile harmonies (like fallen from broken spheres) will take you in a 21 min drift between stellar melancholy and oceanic peace…

[Eg0_CD08] Stillborn Blues – III

After 2 mp3 albums available as free mp3 downloads (He Had Nothing Left To Leave But Himself (2007) and The Same Old Failure (2008)) , Stillborn Blues gets his first CD-R release on eg0cide.
Using only guitars (often prepared and detuned), he creates fragile melancolic pieces, not ambient but mostly quiet and moody, with a few slabs of anger. Most of these tracks are based on improvisations and contain very few overdubs…
